Gender Resources
Volunteers and advocates have worked countless hours to find, create, and develop the resources available today. Of those listed below, two include information for a wide range of inquires, and two are active local non-profit organizations in Pocatello, Id.
Trans affirm is a nonprofit organization that has curated a comprehensive website with information about mental health providers, surgeons, HRT providers, grant opportunities, clothing, food and shelter resources from Boise to Idaho Falls as well as some areas in North Idaho. They also have monthly online support groups for the gender expansive community.
The Gender Resource Guide is a living document containing information for name and change, health care, mental health, services, clubs and organizations, family and youth resources, as well as videos, reading, and crisis support in Southeast Idaho with a primary focus in the Pocatello area.
The Closet is a clothing exchange in Southeast Idaho that provides community members with access to clothing in a supportive environment where individuals can explore their personal style. Open Thursdays from 6-8 PM.
Open Arms is a nonprofit organization that provides supportive enviroments for youth. They host several support groups, including a monthly group for parents. They also host events throughout the year in Southeast Idaho.
